About

A quiet practice, on purpose.

12:32 is a discreet, independent practice that has advised publicly traded companies and private firms. Client work is confidential by default, which is why you won't find logos, testimonials, or case study theater here. What you will find is a clear description of the work, and a straightforward way to start a conversation.

Background

The background behind the practice

Commodities trading Derivatives Valuation Risk Applied statistics Analytics Strategy Client advisory Global team leadership

The practice is led by a finance professional whose career was built in commodities trading: derivatives, valuation, risk, analytics, corporate strategy, client advisory, and leadership of global teams. Professional work with AI began in 2019, well before it reached the boardroom agenda.

Commodities trading teaches a particular discipline: markets reprice by the minute, models are only as good as their inputs, and being confidently wrong is expensive. The same discipline carries into this work. Verify before you rely, size what can go wrong, and separate signal from story.

It's why the practice is numerate and skeptical of hype, careful with process and controls, fluent in how decisions actually get made, and focused on what stands up to scrutiny rather than what demos well.

The practice is also independent and tool-agnostic. No reselling, no vendor allegiances. Just a clear read on what works, and the patience to set it up properly.

Why “12:32”

“…those who understood the times, and knew what ought to be done.”

1 Chronicles 12:32

The name comes from 1 Chronicles 12:32, a brief line about counselors known for “understanding the times” and knowing what ought to be done. No more, no less: the aim of this practice is understanding, followed by action.

How the practice runs

Deliberately small. Deliberately quiet.

No headshots, no logo walls, no manufactured testimonials. The work speaks in the scoping conversation, and in what your team can do a month later.

Senior attention, always

Every engagement is delivered by the principal. Nothing is handed to a bench that doesn't exist.

Confidential by default

Client names and engagements stay private, public company or private firm alike. Mutual NDAs are welcome and common.

Judgment over hype

You'll hear what these tools genuinely do well, where they fail, and when the honest answer is “don't automate this.”
